- AirStyle Serial ID Number Database Support
|
AirStyle is a High-end product, unlike other Video Game accessories, each AirStyle has a System Serial number on Body, Receiver, even on each retail package, which is helpful
when contacting the Team-Air technical support. The identifier number will allow Team-Air to provide you
with specific information (includes radio frequency, software version...) about your AirStyle.

- Wireless Generations - Team Air R & D Designing

| Radio (RF)Wireless controllers are appeared
in the market due to the lack of reliability and blockable poor performance
of Infrared (IR) Wireless controllers, and evolving along with Radio RF (Radio Frequency)
wireless technologies, and system circuit integration technologies. |

Technical notes |
|
3G (3rd Generation) |
No switches on Receiver unit due to built-in full auto-radio configulation system,
and Receiver unit became slim and compact. Operation voltage is only 3V range with 2-cell battery.
No joystick movement delay and very smooth movement. |
|
2G (2nd Generation) |
One switch on Receiver unit for radio configulation, Receiver unti size was
slightly large, required to remove out Memory unit when push the configulation switch;
then, plug it in again every time.
Or, Large Receiver unit has a short cord to make space for Memory unit.
Operation voltage was 5V range, 3-cell or 4-cell battery were required, or no vibration function.
Joystick movement delay and lack of smooth movement are frequently observed. |
|
1G (1st Generation) |
Several switches on Receiver unit for configulation, the size of Receiver unit was
relatively larger size. Some controllers did not have joysticks (only D-pad), the compatibility of PS2 software were limited, and movements
were not performed well, like usual legacy products. |

Team Air Q & A
Q - 2.4Ghz is worldwide radio band?
A - No
2.4GHz is not worldwidely accepted band, except for Bluetooth, wireless LAN type modulations with small radio power.
Therefore, 2.4Ghz cellphones, 2.4Ghz cordless phones type products are not used worldwidely, due to each local
FCC type regulation in each country or region.
Q - Why not 2.4Ghz?
A - Maxium Cost Performance
2.4Ghz has one unique character, which is obsorped by water or equivalent media. For example, over 90% of human body is water,
human body obsorps 2.4Ghz radio, which means 2.4Ghz is blocked by human body. Moreover, 2.4Ghz is more costly wireless
solution than 1.2Ghz or 900Mhz solution. Only one good thing of 2.4Ghz is to allow to send more data than 1.2Ghz or 900Mhz,
due to the advantage of higher friquency. AirStyle was designed with maximum cost performance at 900MHz as the America market model.
